Following is more information on the status of the gray wolf in Michigan, which Trump proposed removing from the endangered species list (because of course he did), and its removal could become effective later this month. There are challenges to the wolf removal from the list that must be heard first.

Trump’s administration has removed several previously protected species from the threatened and endangered lists. This is not a secret.

And Trump is still president until Biden’s inauguration.

There has been a lot of controversy over the protection of gray wolves in Michigan. The controversy continues because there were indications that wolf population reports were fudged, hence the recent studies.
