recently my realm of life has been off and I felt something was wrong. Ive started seeing the same shape appear throughout my rental house. Example if my drink wad spilt it would always form a triangle like shape. If food was dropped. It would form the same shape. And it would happen almost instantly. The dirt outside looked different and the house started to have a different smell. As minor time went by. I naturally start looking around and some things could be seen as different. But didnt fit the feeling i having. Quickly it started getting worse. I would wake with marks on my body. My taste became different. So doctors i go 3 times over the month. Spray the inside/outside of house multiple times. Call exterminator. But nothing was there. I started to think i was crazy. Then for some reason i decided to check my under cabinet ducted hood for my range. Instantly my issues was answered. Some sort of larva was entering my food while using stovetop and entered us all. Doctors we went to immediately. The issues was taken care over a short period of time. But my rental and items inside are tainted and more so my peace of mind is gone. It changed all of us. I just need to know what is my right here. Do i sue? File a claim with ins? I dont know my next step. Yes landlord was made aware on day 2 of me not feeling right. And for most part has been helpful with steps taking in identifying issue

What is the name of your state?

If your landlord has been helpful in identifying the problem and the problem has been remedied, there is no good basis for a lawsuit.

Have you talked to your landlord about terminating your lease early? How much time is left on your lease?

So..."some sort of larva" was getting in food prepared on the stove? What percentage of what you ate over what period of time are we talking about? How long had you lived in the premises when this happened? How did the "larva" get in to stove hood?

What insurance are you thinking of making a claim against? Whom are you thinking about suing?

I am assuming that the consumption of larvae resulted in hallucinations? Medical expenses are being sought, perhaps?

This is not possible. What you are describing cannot be real. I think you need further medical care despite the seeming remission of a clearly psychotic episode.

Have you a study done on the extent to which larvae can cause hallucinations that concluded there is no larvae in the world that can cause such an effect? Or is it a gut reaction just because you have never heard of such a thing before? If the latter, I submit there are lots of things you and I have not heard about before that are nevertheless in fact real.

First, it would be awfully unusual for larvae of any kind to live under a cabinet above a stove for any length of time and, second, for this larvae to drop into food in sufficient quantity to cause hallucinations, and third, for no one to notice.

Impossible? Probably not. But the story is an odd one to say the least.

Certainly odd. But we don't have all the details and I suspect no one here is an expert in this even if we had all the details and thus I don't think anyone here can really know that it is truly impossible, as Xylene has suggested.
