“Other World Law” has already been addressed by the U.N.’s “Outer Space Treaty” and international laws - although I suppose if there is intelligent life found on other planets, these intelligent beings will no doubt argue the details of the Treaty.

Of course, this assumes the other beings think Earth has any intelligent life, which could be up for debate. :)

I question if Earth has intelligent life.

No problem. We would just kill or enslave them. Just like human colonizers have been doing to indigenous people for thousands of years.

Our history on this planet might precede us.
It has:

“Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.”

If only we, the ape-descended life forms, had treated the dolphins better...with more kindness... and more fish...perhaps the Guide would have more respect for the simple life forms on the little blue-green planet.
