Post #8.Is there a child support order?
Just read the other threads as well.Post #8.
Child services cannot supervise visitation unless there is an open case. Churches? Did you get it approved by the churches? Do the family centers cost money? Does her family see the children? What steps are in the court order? Paraphrase here... and is it in the court order that gave you custody?I need to be clear. I haven't stopped her or halt d the court order at all. She hadn't attempted to follow any of the steps of the court order. I can't force her to see the kids.. the court order stated she must set up visitations at an approved location of me. So I sent her 10 local, free places to meet. Child services, churches, family centers. And she hasn't done that.. she hasn't even called my phone in about two years. Abandonment isn't a route?
A mother raises her children. It's ok to have different views but that is my view. Out of 11 years and 9. She has been clean and actually a parent for two. So the term Bio-mom fits here. Maybe you can correct that term thru child services and courts considering that is on record as the terms used in my case. No child support order. I didn't want her money and felt it would put her in jail for no paying. That's not my goal. I have the best interest of the children in mind. We have them in counseling and encourage open talking. We are not present during those sessions. Her family hasn't reached out in the same time. And we live about 10 minutes apart. The facilities for approved visits are 5 mins or less from her house. 10 -15 minutes in walking distance. I am not trying to push her away. We have tried to bring her in.. I feel it's time to have protection for the future. My parents are dying. There are a few distant aunt's on each side that they don't know. Their other grandparents are passes away. The only people I feel that would be contacted in case of emergency are also in a bad place in life. (Drugs, homeless, bad mental health state) so I'm just concerned.First of all, she is NOT bio mom. She is mother. END of story on that. Use proper terminology.
Is there a child support order? Has she provided any clothing, food, support of any kind? Have her family? When is the last time she has seen or talked to the children? HOw far apart do the two of you live?
Court order indicated. She enter and complete drug treatment classes and sustain soberity .Child services cannot supervise visitation unless there is an open case. Churches? WRONG. Bio-mom only fits if an adoption had taken place. And child services are not legal authorities. In fact, most of them ignorant and uneducated.A mother raises her children. Never mind. Go get someone else to help you.Court order indicated. She enter and complete drug treatment classes and sustain soberity .
Get and hold a job.
Have independent housing away from the current people she uses with.
Set visits up once a week.
Call 4-5 times a week.
Literally hasn't started any of the first three. The reason I know is text messages stating so. It's not an assumption. She has called a total of 9 times in the time period. And hasn't attempted one visit. Again according to her own words. And yes the court order granted full custody. At first it was emergency custody. Then another court date provide full custody. And I'm not trying to sound ruthless here. I could show at least 20 messages of me pleading for her to step up and get help. That our kids miss her. Etc..
I came here for help not to be insulted. Weird how the parent that is there for their children, actually raising them, is the one being bashed. I have them in counseling, schools, sports. they know they can count on me and I'm a bad guy.....Baffling to me. I have to get explain that clearly she wasnt shooting heroin when we had children? Thanks for your time.WRONG. Bio-mom only fits if an adoption had taken place. And child services are not legal authorities. In fact, most of them ignorant and uneducated.
Why did you choose such a horrible person to impregnate twice?
No. I keep being asked this. I felt she wouldn't be able to pay and get locked up. What is the importance of child support?Post #8.
It's considered contact. And, btw - you should bear in mind that OhioGal is a lawyer and GAL. In OH. So she can be of help if you allow it.No. I keep being asked this. I felt she wouldn't be able to pay and get locked up. What is the importance of child support?
It's also mentioned in the material that I posted. However, there are many other factors as well.On another thread, Ohiogal pointed out that de minimis contact isn't enough...
Didn't insult you. Or bash you.I came here for help not to be insulted. Weird how the parent that is there for their children, actually raising them, is the one being bashed. Those are similar to the requirements imposed on my son (and the mother) while his toddlers were in foster care. Aside from an occasional supervised visit he (nor she) did none of the other requirements despite frequent court orders to do so. The court finally gave up and terminated their parental rights, awarded permanent guardianship to the foster parents, which allowed them to adopt. But it took several years of 2d, 3d, and nth chances to straighten up before that drastic step was taken.Court order indicated. She enter and complete drug treatment classes and sustain soberity .

A case plan and its orders does NOT immediately carry forward into a custody situation. My point is that you may have grounds for eventual involuntary termination of her parental rights but it's likely to take a very long time to get to that point.
I did say "years."A case plan and its orders does NOT immediately carry forward into a custody situation. Not in Ohio.
