Kentucky
So last Sept I was court ordered to go to a supervised visitation place. I was told it was only going to be for 6-8 weeks as a readjustment period because my sons mother kept him away from me for 6 months after she got married.
Well it will be a year in sept that I have had to go there. It cost me about $300 a month. Just to see my son for 1 hour a week.
Every time i put in for a motion hour the judge will not hear my motions and I just get ignored in the court room for the most part and told to keep coming back.
an FoC was assigned to this case. The Foc did not request release of medical records i.e history of hospitalization due to addiction issues or pysch issues. I use to have a drug addiction but i have been clean for years now. But my sons mothers attorney requested I sign over all my HIPPA related paperwork from every place I have ever been. The Foc told me she did not request it. The courts did not request it. The request came from my sons mothers attorney but the judge told me yesterday that I had to sign them. So I did.
I am not worried about anything on them. I had an addiction issues and was once homeless because of that addiction issue. But I have no history of mental illness of any kind, other than depression. My sons mother has endless resources when it comes to money for an attorney. I am poor and doing this all on my own.
Did I do the right thing by signing over those papers?
