Apparently not. :D
I mean this isn't going to be the last time an educational experience does not work as intended for your child. If you expect certain results, see that certain metrics are contractually guaranteed. And expect to pay more than 500 bucks.
Honestly you are going to give your...
You are willing to spend any amount. Money is not a concern. So... you need to hire an estate lawyer.
You have two things: You need to get the court to remove Mom, though I'm really confused is she wanting to leave this position or is this an adversarial situation.... You don't want to talk...
Just an FYI - you can't spite someone who is dead.
If your wife receives some inheritance, consider it good fortune.
Perhaps she needs some counseling to deal with the impending death of her problematic mother.
Because I assure you that nothing that is damaged by her mother's bad acts will...
Oops - fixed should say 'them'
But American car are still junk. I'd like to talk the metalurgical team at Ford - because I'd love to know how aluminum body panels rot to dust in 3 years. As an example.
I like cats and I mentioned trim.
Thinking GM is shady, to their customers, to their workers, in their design philospphy and engineering standards, heck to the American people who gave them billions... that is not a controversial position.
Um, the gasket is covered on the inside by trim pieces. How would one observe the gasket for leaks otherwise.
You think the OP is sunk, I think he is being bullied by a shoddy American car manufacturer and dealer system who would prefer that warranties are not tranferable, at least not on sales...
How exactly does one see behind trim pieces that frame the entire window?
A non dealer employee removing them would super duper void the warranty then.
Crummy low grade American car metal and substandard seam finishing could cause leaking too. Seen that on plenty of GM cars. ;)
But that's another conjecture not based on what the Buick dealer "told" the OP.
They claimed it is because of the aftermarket windshield.
That's not going to cut it...
The use of aftermarket glass to replace a windshield is NOT an improper modification.
The page I linked is the contact information for GM warranty escalation, I did not intended to imply the OP had a lemon law claim.
I hate the word 'told' - is this something the service manager said, or a literal denial letter from Buick and/or GM?
you need to escalate the dealer's denial to GM PriorityCare
https://www.gm.com/lemon-law.html
Be insistent, persistent and demand any denial you are "told" of to be in...
One more point. How was the tenant going to pay both the front for work AND your check?
He's going to get paid in full on a contract in 1 week? Complete BALONEY.
And BALONEY isn't damages.
PITA tenant with tenuous cashflow...
I'd be holding him the exact terms of the lease.
If his business requires operating capital for outlays on new work, he should have a line of credit.
Basically, he can't sue you because he is a broke independant contractor who is a week away from...
I'm highlighting the costs in somehow 'litigating' a brief delay which inccurs at at most a tiny damage amount which you'd not be able to recover anyways or making a scene and gettign arrested VS
Coming up with some workaround.
A nice new motorcycle would cost you less.
