     No one is faulting Steffenfield for having questions. Our frustration is that he opens MULTIPLE threads about the same issue, despite being asked repeatedly to keep it all to one thread. Heck, I'd be happy if he kept it to 2 threads.

     That's highly unlikely. A more possible and plausible explanation is that your employer knows you reached full retirement age and are eligible for SS.

     OP, it is SO easy to fake emails, texts (and, as we've learned recently, videos). The police may have given you some convoluted advice, but they WERE right about the emails not being useful as evidence. And it has nothing to do with your husband's honesty, and everything to do with the ease...

      Criminal cases are no place for a DIY project. And the court-appointed attorney being friends with the prosecutor is not at all unusual. It doesn't mean they are in cahoots.

      Just from those two items above I have a feeling that the attorneys (rightfully) felt that you were trying to tell them how to run the case. Between that and not paying, I suspect you'll have a hard time finding anyone to represent you.
