Maybe it's my fat fingers that keep missing the X. (Although I seem to have several issues with the touch screen on my phone). It seems that touching next to the X makes the dialog box flash (sort of). That appears to be my issue.
Never mind.
Because I have extraordinarily large thumbs (fat fingers), I recently pressed "report post" by mistake. (It was one of Quincy's posts). Once that happens, there is no way to back out. A window pops up asking why the post is being reported, but the "X" in the top right corner does not close the...
Call the cable company and complain that your internet isn't working. Ask them when they're going to fix it. Continue calling until service is restored.
In the meantime, you need to mitigate your losses. You can't sue the landlord for your lost $100,000 income if you just sit back and don't do...
From what was written, I’d GUESS she is not a US citizen. Her father can probably petition for a green card for her.

The first footnote is that decision is interesting. "The City also argued that the search fell within the administrative search exception. However, the City does not raise this on appeal. Therefore, we do not address it here. "
You might be able to find a lawyer to take that case, since it's...
There's certainly an argument to be made that the consent was coerced. See Schneckloth v. Bustamonte, 412 U.S. 218, 228 (1973) ( "the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments require that a consent not be coerced, by explicit or implicit means . . . . For, no matter how subtly the coercion was applied...

You should contact legal aid and see if they'll take a look at it for you.
As has been previously pointed out, there was no notification requirement. Even if there had been, the recourse would have been a suit against the seller for failure to disclose. That would have no impact on the development.
Something else is that this appears to be a senior development. Senior...
There is very little that a seller in Massachusetts is required to disclose. I believe the only required disclosures are lead paint and septic systems.
The seller can be held liable if they misrepresent a fact, but not for withholding a fact (beyond lead paint and septic)
Sorry Blue, I'm gonna disagree with you on this one. From the terms of service (below) "The FreeAdvice Forums are intended to enable consumers to benefit from the experience of other consumers who have faced similar legal issues ". Sara clearly has faced a similar legal issue. If someone reads...
She probably cannot remove the appurtenances, but your state may have some oddball rule about that.
I think she'll find that the value of the used cabinets is far less than what was paid to install them.
Under Mass law (which I realize does not apply, but could be used as persuasive authority) a code violation is a per se violation of the warranty of habitability, subjecting the landlord to three months rent as damages. There's no need for the city to condemn the property, or even for the code...
I’m not sure I agree. One could argue that the code violation renders the unit uninhabitable, like any other code violation, and requires immediate attention.
I’d run, not walk, to my lawyer
