     Harsher charge if pleading not guilty?

     What is the name of your state? West Virginia If I ask the judge to plea to a lesser charge, for a minor speeding ticket, and he declines, could I just plead not guilty? Wouldn't that be in my best interest? Could the judge sentence me harsher than what is already writen on the ticket?

     What is the name of your state? Virginia but ticket from West Virginia If I go to court and admit speeding, say 5-10 mph over instead of 16, as written on the ticket, would that still be considered pleading guilty, and thus settled that day? Would it be better if I just tried to just plead...
