What is the name of your state? The Netherlands!

I Have might a problem

Situation

In a online computer game a moderator said something offensive towards me.
I notified him that I would post that to my friends and maybe somewhere else.

He instantly disabled my game screen so I could gather prove , copy the words or screenshot it and I get a banning

I give the company a call and record the conversation with the same moderator where he admitted he disabled me to prevent me from gathering evidence etc,

Was recording this conversation without his knowledge illegal?

The conversation was normal and business for the rest about what happened

Regards, Rene . company is located in Florida i believe ^^

First, you have no issues and you just need to move on.

This is very easy to look up on the internet for yourself. There are 12 states that require both parties to the conversation to consent, the remainder only require one party to consent to the recording.

California
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Illinois
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
Montana
New Hampshire
Pennsylvania
Washington

As far as the lame ass BeleizeBreeze or whatever his handle is, just discount him as a moron with nothing to do. 9000 post is a big clue!

Are you as stupid as your post? Tell me where in the OP does the poster state that their problem involves anything to do with the laws of the United States, the 50 states, or any US property or territory? I would suggest reading the whole post before looking like the moron you obviously are. Oh, by the way, when we say US law only, that does not apply to The Netherlands.

Too funny man.

Perhaps you are the idiot ... read the original post. Morons like you are great for the economy. If the conversation was in Florida I think that is a part of the USA? Right?

No one would have known you for an idiot if you did not put it in writing .... lol.

What a friggin jerk ... another professional moron poster with 5,000

Go find a rock and crawl under it.

12 states require both parties to agree as to being recorded. You can not do it with only one party's consent. For the rest other states, it only requires 1 party's consent to being recorded.

With regards to the 12 states that do require a 2-party consent to being recorded...violate it and you have now violated both Federal and Sate laws.

Fact: You can record anyone's phone conversations without their consent. But, to offer it to someone else to listen to, is a big NO-NO. Without consent you can only keep and hear that recorded conversation for your own personal enjoyment.

And aside from being dangerously WRONG, your reply is irrelevant. This post is from the Netherlands and therefore subject to the laws of the EUROPEAN COMMUNITY.

This is a U.S. Law forum ...

This statement is COMPLETELY incorrect! This poster needs to find help elsewhere.

Doofus - Even if FL law applied, FL is a two-party state, requiring CONSENT from both parties.
