17 year old know it all

Here' what my 17 yr old told me:

I don't have to listen to you anymore ! I just joined the Marines !

I said, "have fun"!

Let's just say I told her to come and see me when she is out on her own at 18 and let me know just how she is doing. She says "I got this, Mom!" Doesn't want to go to college....not worried about anything but the boy. She is in for a rude awakening!!!!

If she runs away, i would just let her go. Not worth your time chasing at that point. Let her know it was for keeps though.
