It is, just like I posted in my first post.

The age of majority in Louisiana is 18; unless emancipated earlier by notarial act, marriage or judicial determination: if child is still in high school, then age 19, or upon graduation from high school, whichever occurs first.
We are all aware on this site that 17 year olds are getting that information. However, that doesn't make it their state law. In Texas for example, age of majority is 18, but the police won't always take the 17 year old back home if they are taking care of themselves. So I believe that is where most of the confusion is coming from, that being said, the 17 year old is STILL a minor.
