2nd Marriage

One of my muslim friend did second marriage in his home country ( as it is allowed in muslims) but he divorced her after his first wife ( in Canada) came to know. But did that divorce on religious ways and do not have any legal proof ( as it the marriage happened outside canada and never been registered in Canada)but divorce has been placed surely, and it is been two years now. His question is like if now someone complains about his mistake like his first wife ! Is there any charges he can face ! ! and is there any negative effects on his immigrant status ! ! !. He understands that was his big mistake, and he will never do that again like it was his the first and the last mistake.
