What is the name of your state? NJ
A heating oil company (which I am not a customer of) accidentally delivered oil to my house while I wasn't home. They are requesting that I pay for the oil or they will come back and pump it out of my tank. They mailed me a bill for one quantity and then told me verbally that was wrong and gave me a different quantity. So I have no way to verify the quantity of oil they actually delivered. What are my rights? Is there an NJ statute about unsolicited merchandise or anything saying this should be deemed as a gift?
