What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? delaware

One of my many duties at my job was making sure the rent was paid on some storage units. Over time, I let this fall to the wayside. During which the accounting got all messed up as well. I have resigned from my position. Can my old employer come after me for the money that was never collected on the units? Not sure of the laws in my state. Can this be considered theft? I have never taken money in my life and have been working jobs where i have dealt with money for the last 16 years and never had a problem. What charges can be brought against me?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
