Frankly, and whether you like my answers or not I have experience in this area, nothing you have posted even whispers illegal discrimination.

But I've already told you what to do if you disagree.

So the employer did not check out your references before the interview?

It is possible that something you said or your demeanor during the interview, rather than your impressive resume, led to you not being selected for the position.

Your last comment to zddoodah, for example, gives me pause (“She’s much younger, perhaps she felt threatened by me (women can be that way when they, themselves are insecure) and I didn’t fit into their culture.”).

Whatever the interviewer thought, nothing you have said (so far) screams illegal discrimination. You just weren’t what the company was looking for, despite your past job experience.
I followed up with an email and pointed out that she invited me to an interview. The first interview was thru a recruiter who sought me out. I figured "why not" and applied thru a job portal. She immediately reached out. She obviously was impressed by my resume. When I wrote to her stating that I already filled out an application as she requested me to, she declined me. In my email, I pointed all of this out to her, professionally of course, and asked her politely to share with me what the deciding factor was to not proceed with my candidacy. CRICKETS!!!
Hmmmm

She has no legal obligation to provide you with the reason they are not proceeding with your candidacy and, in fact, doing so is not considered to be good practice.

Just because you were invited to an interview doesn't obligate them to hire you.

Here is a link to your previous thread:

Is it possible that this new company contacted your previous employer and your previous employer did not provide a glowing review of your time with them? Has the health “procedure” you mentioned in your previous thread adversely affected your ability to perform the job?
Quincy. My previous employer had to let me go. To put it out there... new CEO and there was a re-org. All executive assistants were laid off. All executives are going to have their Executive Assistant's based out of India. I worked fo an Indian software company. My boss has written rave reviews about me and even on LinkedIn. Copies/Pasted "XYZ is an exceptional executive assistant professional. During her tenure at XYZ, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. I highly recommend XYZ for EA or similar role that requires dedication, reliability, and a high level of competence. She would be an asset to any organization." As for the health procedure.... my boss worked it out for me to stay on board for health insurance purposes because I met my deductible. I was receiving radiation theraphy for my hands. I have dupuytrens disease. Please look it up. I spent thousands of dollars out of pocket and had no monetary responsibility anymore for a second round of treatment that was scheduled for September of this year and my company made sure that I would have no issues taking care of this and my boss was responsible for it. So long story short.... My boss thinks the world of me and I know he hates that the company laid me off.

And yet, none of that requires the company to hire you.
