Obviously and a good lawyer that can perhaps convince the court to order the wife who earns 100 grand annually to pay for that. He says he has “talked to a lawyer” but needs to retain a lawyer and get serious pronto.
I dunno, if he gets the SS benefits for his children he is going to have a decent amount of non-taxable income. Her net after taxes (as a single person) will likely still be greater than his net, but not by nearly as much as someone might think.

Good point. Maybe some of that HELOC she hoarded from him and is now attempting to extort him with might help pay for his attorney.

He never answered the question as to why they took out the HELOC, so we really cannot speculate on that.
