What is the name of your state? Arizona

Hello, I was wondering if it is necessary to add the copyright symbol to my website. I understand that it is not required by law but it seems everyone in the same biz as me has it on their websites. I was planning on putting ( C 2006. Bloom Six Designs. All rights reserved ). on the bottom of the page. Of course there would be a circle around the "C". I was also wondering how important it is for me to register each piece of artwork with the copyright office. Thanks

Copyright

You should definitely register any work as this gives you considerably more opportunities than if you don't, particularly when it comes to infringement and damages. The C in a circle is no longer a requisite notice since coyright became more universal in nature. In effect, when US law was made consistent with other copyright jurisdictions, copyright arose at the moment of creation. Still, using the symbol can't hurt and, in some cases, can help so I always instruct my clients to use it. "All rights reserved" however, is unnecessary and gives you no greater rights than omitting it.
