I voluntarily left an organization giving them a two week notice. I was asked to leave after the first week. I agreed to do so thinking I would get paid for the 50 hours of personal time off (PTO) time I had accrued.
I did not get paid for the PTO time, but it did show up on my last pay stub as unused.
Am I entitled to pay for that unused time?

Probably. Your exact rights depend on the state and the terms of PTO in your ex-company.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

To check your state law, go to STATE LAWS at the freeadvice.com homepage, click on state statutes and then click on your state. Check labor code or employer-employee code.

You also need to check with the Deparment of Labor.
