According to her PM to me, he was in the military, but is no longer. I'm hoping that one of my children will give me some info on whether there are any resources that they can tap into.

SMinNJ - definitely some going pointers on the long distance travel. I'm protesting the flights that someone else purchases. I have a feeling that the children are very small, so they won't be traveling as unaccompanied minors anytime soon (especially the one that is still in utero.)

I asked about the military because of an old post I was trying to remember (which would have helped the OP if he was still in.) I'm very sorry to hijack, but this is a good time to ask. Does anyone remember this? I've been searching with no luck.

There was a woman who was asking for help for her daughter. There were kids involved, the ex was abusive and had been in the military, I think he had not been in contact very much, he may even have been in jail. The mother said she had heard that the ex was supposed to pay some surprising amount for x number of months according to some military rule. Everyone (me too) told her she was wrong, but she ended up posting a link to something that confirmed it. I want to find that thread and the link for future reference.

If anyone remembers what I'm talking about, PM me please.

Sorry again to hijack, I'll leave it at that and let the OP go back to getting help.

Thanks
