Another Question Concerning The Appeal

How long does my ex have to get the appeal rolling?

I know he and his attorney filed it on 9-15-05 (before the judge handed down his decision), but can he "sit on it" for a couple of months?

Also, what does an appeal incur? Can they bring up new lies and accusations; or does everyone have to stick to what was discussed in our first court appearance? Can you summon new witnesses?

I Received the Appeal Today In The Mail....

Now what? Can someone tell me what "new" testimony, accusations can be brought up? I'm a nervous wreck again!

It also says in the paperwork that I am responsible to pay $12 for each witness that I want to testify for me; is that common?

I've been through a few custody cases before, but this will be my first appeal!
