My 16 year old wears glasses. I have no problem paying for half of his eye exam and glasses. Now my ex gets him contacts. That is a seperate exam and new contacts every three months. Am I responsible for half the expense of the contacts. By contract, we split all medically necessary evenly after they have gone through insurances. Insurance will not cover exams for contacts or contacts.
She has medicaid for him. My insurance or medicaid does not cover this. I have a 13 year old also that I have custody of and she is refusing to pay half of his medical bills unless I pay on the contacts. The 13 year old is not eligible for medicaid.
Thank you.

No contacts are not medically necessary, but in this day an age why wouldn't you want your child to look better without glasses? At 16 he is probably in sports and glasses would get in the way.........
