haha... sorry this is internet talk... I got a 28 on the act and a 27 on the english section... I'm content with my terrible forum writing skillz!

If my daughter had recieved scores like that I would have been terribly dissappointed!!
That equates to a 78% score. Not Einstein territory. (sorry)

If you have not noticed, internet jargon is not generally used on this forum. I am not sure why exactly but many of the posters on this site are very educated and deserve a modicum of respect.

(Many of us are a bit older than you as well. We have a tough time trying to figure out what the hell you mean with all that lol, kma, brb, rlos, etc. Heck, researching statutes are easier than looking up translations on this page internet shorhand )

I'm no genius but I'm in our schools gifted program with an IQ of 135 and am successful in much of what I do. I'd appreciate it if you people wouldn't be so arrogant and stuck up. I just came here for advice and got blasted for being above average... I mean $h!t...

how do you deal with people of lesser or average intellegence? I suggest you guys loosin up a bit and realize everyone isn't einstien... You are belittling me for having high enough scores that are admitting me into honors college at Mizzou...

and I'm not your daughter... you might be highly dissapointed but the fact is being in the 78 percentile doesn't make me stupid... I'm out...

I did not say "78th percentile", I said "a score of 78%" , a world of difference. Actually this does put you in the 90th percentile. Absolutely something to be proud of.

but I'm going to get a bumper sticker that says:

"Proud dad of a kid that scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT"
(sorry but I had to brag about it, after all, I am her dad )

The thing I have a hard time seeing is the extreme treatment of your father compared to the actions you claim he performed. It just doesn't quite jive in my mind. But, I don't want to call your honesty into question, I'll accept it at face value.

I do understand your desire to have dad there when you need/want him.

Follow the advice given. You might try to get dad to apologize for his actions and make promises that he will control himself in the future. Then, if allowed back on the grounds, make sure he sticks to his word.

If your dad is anything like mine, he will say something like," da** it, I'm right and I sure as he** am not going to apologize for something that I did not do."

Now while this may be correct, it won't get him back on campus.
You know the old saying "you attract more flies with honey than vinegar" don't you?

The reality is you attract more with sh**. The problem with this is everybody wants to shovel it out the door. By default the next best choice is honey. Try it.

Keep in mind though, you don't always need to go the court route. Sometimes communication will do.
