I was rear ended in my car while stopped at a red light by a driver on a cell phone. Under $1000.00 damage was done to my car but it was a very hard hit. It knocked my dash board loose. I did injury my back and neck. The car has been repaired. Can I setttle this matter without an atorney as far as collecting doctor bills, pain and suffering etc? What determines the complexity of a case? I do not think mine is difficult. Am I even eligible for anything other than the many doctor bills. If you settle with the claims adjustor as apposed to filing suit do you go through discover etc. or is that only when a lawyer is involved?
