I see, so it's just most get sent back to their unit, but not all... Thanks. I assume they just get court martialed once they get back, and discharged there.

Even if you cant get your OTH upgraded it will have little effect on anything unless you let it have an effect. Do they give you a certificate that says "other than honorable discharge" so you can frame it up, thats what I would do (as im making 100K a year) to show that the OTH is irrelavant, its how you decide to go from here that matters the most.
I suppose it goes without saying: "Tolerably early in life I discovered that one of the unpardonable sins, in
the eyes of most people, is for a man to presume to go about unlabeled. The world regards such a person
as the police do an unmuzzled dog, not under proper control. -Thomas Henry Huxley, biologist and writer (1825-1895).

hmm yea...thats pretty gay.....ok anyways....few more questions I thought of..they said they have my packet and the warrant for me...which means Im DFR..but I am still getting paid...were you still getting paid when you found out you were droped from rolls?? and did you have to pay back the army for payin you all those months??? and when they drove you to the airport..did they drive you to oklahoma city? or did you go from lawton airbase to oklahoma city? still tryin to figure out the hole travel thing so I can make this run as smooth as posible

I stopped getting paid roughly 30 day's after I went AWOL. I have not received a statement of charges, so I do not know if I will have to pay that back. You do get paid for the time you spend at the PCF. They will mail the check out, and you should receive it within a couple months.

They drive you to the Lawton bus station or the Lawton airport. If you have to go to Oklahoma City, then you will have to take the bus there, as it is a couple hours away. It cost me around $30 to go from Lawton to Oklahoma City via bus. But this was worth the price I saved in my airline ticket.

I do know that they did drive and pick up one of the returnee's up from Oklahoma City, but I think that is pretty rare.

I give my time,
and free legal advice to you cowboys and girls. That being said, I have a
BCD and my replies to you folks that are being mislead in thinking that a
less than honorable discharge will not bear down on your lives are sadly
mistaken. Again, all of you that freely choose your paths to receive such
discharges, please by all means enjoy them, and your up in coming
downtrodden sad lives ahead of you. Oh, and about my life,
yes, it truly could be better, and soon it will be after 34 years of
bitter fighting for the return of my good name. Thank you. :)

It's funny, when I went to ACAP (career counselor), before being outproccessed with my OTH, they tell you the only job's you will not be able to get are goverment jobs. Like FBI, Secret Service, etc....
You can still become a police officer, firefighter etc... As that is mostly state side, and not federal. Heck, they even offer you several programs, free of charge to help you get another job/career. Trust me, they want you to pay your taxes. So when people like yourself, make other's feel as if they have no career option's, I just laugh. Yea they will miss out on like 1% of the job market, but look at the bright side, there is still that other 99% to look forward too.

It is clear that you all with "OTH'S" can not see past your nose. If nothing else,
please let us know how you are doing after you have your [OTH'S] for a year or
two. Then let's see who's life sucks. Lastly, you will be cursed with it.

He who laughs first laughs last! You were given bogus information from the
so called career counselor. So, knock yourself out. And enjoy your [OTH]!
But hey, what do I know!
