The fact that jamieruland says the prosecutor apparently wants him "to serve more jail time and probation" when his attorney is saying the blood results are negative indicates there could be more to this story than what is being shared.

But I think a review of the video could be important (as boring as it might be) for jamieruland's understanding, so I question the attorney's reluctance.
I question the OP's version of everything, including the attorney's reluctance. It just sounds fishy!

Possibly.

It is also possible that the attorney did not expect it would be difficult to work out a satisfactory plea agreement to keep the DUI from going to trial. The attorney might have been surprised by the negative test results and, perhaps, by what the video shows (or doesn't show). If his client is "tapped out," the attorney might be worrying the costs of a trial and could be trying to limit expenses for jamieruland by limiting contact.

I don't know. It is a mystery.

But I tend to believe there are not all that many bad lawyers out there representing criminal defendants. Most of the bad lawyers I am aware of seem to have gravitated to politics. :)

So i recently found out that my ex lawyer is related to someone i dont get along with. Also have talked to other lawyers and people who all told me that the lawyer i had was a bad lawyer and doesnt do his job the way he should. Yes blood test was completely negative for all controlled substances and alcohol. There was something left out of what i said but wasnt a big deal, i was already pulled over off road when a cop came up behind me. I truly did nothing wrong. Also when i was arrested that day for dui.

On the 8th, you were talking about your attorney. Today it is your EX attorney.

When did that happen?

Did you hire another attorney?

I fired my lawyer and got a new one on the 14th. This one is being very helpful and keeping in contact.
Well, I certainly hope any attorney can be helpful and keep in contact over the course of 3 days (when two of those days are Saturday and Sunday). :)

So, your new attorney has filed a motion for substitution of counsel and the judge has approved it, at this late stage in your case? Or is that still in the works? I imagine your new attorney will be asking for a continuance/postponement/resetting of your upcoming trial so he can review your case file to see what's what.

With luck, your new attorney will be able to see in the evidence some good arguments for either a dismissal of your DUI or for a plea agreement that is acceptable to all.

Good luck, jamieruland.
