It is hard for me to believe that because you called in once that they terminated you for that. It usually takes several missed days with poor excuses or no shows and this is usually documented. Look at it from their point of view. It is difficult to run a business when someone calls in. Sorry, but I believe that there is more to "the rest of the story". What "Board" do you have to face?
