Wish it was that easy. They know they are in the wrong so will not work with me. The trouble started when I asked for a copy of my contract, the president got really defensive about it. She knew I wanted to peruse other things and I was publicly gearing to leave the company for two years, training new management and employees to take over. When I left the company I asked for my percentage, I didn't realize I was supposed to be receiving it all along as when I signed the contract about a decade ago I was told I would take my split at the end. I was really just uninformed, I was hardly in my twenties when I became a partner. I can try to reach out to the accountant on my own but the president is an unstable person and any attempts to reason with her will be impossible, like I said I can't even get a copy of a contract I was supposed to have 10 years ago. Wish me luck.

I got her on the phone and she is going to try and get the owner to hand over my records and sounds as if she will put the effort in to do it if the owner will not. These are my personal taxes filed however and does not really do any justice on what the business must have been claiming.

Again, you can get transcripts from the IRS for free for all of the tax years in question, if you cannot get copies from the accountant. However, the accountant really ought to be able to provide you copies, because the accountant should have copies on file.

Yeah, she will if the owner will not. She was just apprehensive about the work involved, she probably has allot of documents lol. The tax forms do have me listed as a partner of the business though so will surely be helpful. Once I receive them I will go see a local lawyer on the matter I suppose. Thanks for all the help.
