Wow. I'm amazed by the attitude I'm getting here. I'm asking on behalf of my sister, the child's mother. The child was in the care of children's services. I happen to live in another country. Not COUNTY. COUNTRY.

That might be part of the answer...

And frankly, it's perfectly legal in MANY places for 16 year olds to marry.

Morality doesn't come into it. This is about legalities.

I never said any such thing. Please stop making silly arguments like that.

What I said was that it's perfectly legal if the parents have approved of it - which just happens to be a completely accurate statement.

The fact that YOU don't approve is no more relevant than the fact that I don't approve. Legally, it just doesn't matter.

I told you how to get some action - in the event that the approvals were forged. You apparently chose to ignore that part so that you could attack me. :rolleyes:
