You might also point out to Princess that when you are in jail for contempt of court because she refused to go to mom's, a 14 year old cannot stay by herself and just who does she think she'll end up living with then?

When faced with that situation several times, it was a matter of, "You don't have a choice. Get in the car." And yes, it's not pleasant for a while. Just.Do.It.

Not something I would EVER suggest but it ran through my mind once when my step-son started this type behavior. Each time s/he refuses to go they get to pay for the fees (even if you don't end up in court) associated with fighting a contempt action.

Like I said, it was a passing fancy and something I would never act upon. Of course with step-son it would hit him where it hurt the most, the wallet.
