Who are you in this situation? Dealer? Buyer? What is the name of your state? Georgia

Is it a new or used car? Has the dealer committed to fixing the problem? What is the name of your state? Georgia

Most likely it is not legal. However, you certain should NOT buy the car whether its legal or not. Just walk away from the deal entirely.I would be the buyer and this is a used car. No commitment to fix light. Is this legal?

Did the dealer acknowledge the light and indicate the airbags should be checked and replaced if necessary?I would be the buyer and this is a used car. No commitment to fix light. Is this legal?
It could depend on what, if anything, the dealer knew in advance about the vehicle airbags and what, if anything, the dealer said about the airbags and the check airbag light.Georgia statute prohibits tampering with an airbag system but doesn't appear to actually prohibit the sale of a used vehicle with a non-working system.
