Can Apt management co charging for gate key?

I've been renting now for 6 months and suddenly they want to charge me for a gate key as they're just now preparing to fix the gate. Shouldn't this be a cost the landlord is responsible for? If not, what else can the management co randomly decide to charge me for? Thanks

Let's assume not. Nothing was mentioned about it on the notice which is a good point because what about tenants at the ends of their leases?

I see you were hassling those trying to help you the last time you posted the same question also. We normally don't waste time trying to help people that go out of their way to be abrasive. I suggest you follow your lease, local, state and federal laws. If you don't like them doing it, sue. $35 or thousands, you choose.

I've been unable to locate the official rules.

Is a prize required?
Must the prize include alcohol?
When is it the correct time to get toasted? (I've never observed restrictions on this - remember, it's five o'clock somewhere)
