Here's the info *I* found:

Social Security Number is Required. Effective January 1, 2009, a Social Security Number is required for all licensees. The Division will consider an application to be incomplete when the applicant fails to submit his/her Social Security Number. Exceptions are made for foreign nationals not physically present in the United States and for non-immigrants in the United States on student visas who do not have a Social Security Number. These applicants must submit a signed Social Security Number Affidavit in lieu of a Social Security Number. You may call (303) 894-7800 to request that an affidavit be mailed to you.
Can you please tell me where you found this info? I will be so relieved if I can just write my exam and get it over with. Anyone on a student visa gets SSN, so I might be able to use this information in my favor. I do not want to get the money back if I can write the exam because thats what I went to school for. I do not have so much time to deal with so much stress when I can infact write the exam. I will use this info and send it back to the state asking them to let me write the exam.

Oh and I forgot to mention that in their response to the education authorities, my school created falsified documents and I have the originals to prove that they are misrepresenting to the authorities as well. It is very upsetting to see that a school would stoop to such a level!! They have lied over and over to the authorities and I have proofs so that infact tells me that they did this to me intentionally. The owner agreed on the phone that wihtout SSN I should not have been registered and this somehow slipped through them, they did not read the contract where I had written "ITIN" and crossed out SSN.

Anyhow, if I can write my exam I would love to forget all about it.

Do you understand that you DO NOT qualify for the waiver by studying on an H4 visa?

You DO NOT have a student visa!

I'm going to disagree with Tigi on one part - one does not need to be a legal resident in order to utilize the justice system. The issue here is that the school made no guarantee of licensing, and OP didn't check with the State first before enrolling.

But even if that wasn't the case, an H4 holder is not permitted to work anyway.

So it's moot ;)
I didn't mean to infer that one had to be a legal resident to utilize our justice system. I meant to say that since they did not legally have the right to attend the school in the first place he cannot seek to be recompensed through the justice system in this particular case. If you look at it this way you will see my point. He/She came onto this with unclean hands (the OP knew or should have known that they did not have a student visa). When one come to the court with unclean hands, the court says "Not going there!"

I misunderstood you, my lovely Tigi!

So I think we agree with the bottom line -

The OP does NOT have a student (F, J or M) visa, therefore s/he does not qualify for the waiver mentioned earlier.

SERIOUSLY!!!!OMG! I cant believe you two. I bet you are not lawyers. Let me enlighten you...I HAVE CLEAN HANDS FIRST OF ALL!!

Second, anyone on H4 can study my friends read the rules, I got my degree from University here in US. I can easily transfer to F1 from H4.

I am leaving this form, clearly it was a waste of time talking to people who just assume that you are ILLEGAL if you dont have SSN and look down upon me.

I should be spending this time talking to someone who actually knows what they are talking about. SAYONARA!!

And the reason I came to this form was because I thought I might get some good advice!!

This has been taken with higher education authorities and the school will be fined because they not only lied to me but they also lied to the authorities by creating false documents, so that proved that they had the responsibility to let me know the outcomes of the program and now they are trying to cover it up.

Why would any SANE person go to a professional licensing school if they know that they can not get the license? Since I am not a native to US, I did not know the US rules, it was School's responsibility. They should have known that why on their forms they have SSN requirement and most importantly they should have known that I can not get license without SSN. Nowhere in the forms it said that ITIN is acceptable but they accepted it regardless just to take the money.

Education for professional Licensing is useless if a person can not get a license. Isn;t there anyone here who agrees on this??
