What is the name of your state? California

Hello there,

I'm in the process of filing for a business license. I found that part of the business name that I'd like to use is a registered trademark. Can I still use it within my business name?

Example: I want to use "Righfully Yours Financial Recovery". I found that "Rightfully Yours" is a registered trademark that was recorded in Sept 1999. In Jan 2002 someone else registered "Rightfully Yours Talk Radio"...that leads me to believe that with the words "Financial Recovery" I would not be infringing on the other company's trademark of "Rightfully Yours"...am I correct?

Any feedback would be most appreciated.

Take care and happy holidays!

**A: in general, you are correct except that if the entity has a Federal registered tradename and trademark, you may be prohibited from using the first two words.
