What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

My husband and I are separated. We are planning on going to enter into a separation agreement where he is signing over full custody to me. He will be in the military and will rarely be in our home state. My question is: can his parents fight for custody? I plan on having our parenting agreement permanent if possible. I am not sure what my options are, but I am trying to protect myself from having to go to court for custody. He is a sneaky little turd. Can a parenting or separation agreement be permanent?

I'm not convinced you're grown up enough to have full custody after your utterly childish little vent.

Be that as it may, I'd rather you didn't receive any more attention than you deserve so I'll answer the question here and now.

Yes, you can submit an agreement between you and Dad. Yes, it will be considered "permanent" if that's what you want it to be. Yes, they can file for custody if they want to waste money. No, they won't win.

Jeez you guys! I'm simply trying to seek out legal advice before entering the court system. My children come first; not you :) If you are annoyed by the amount of questions I have, maybe you should find another hobby to pass your abundant and obviously boring days.

Now the poster is trying to figure out how to delete the thread, rather than apologize for being so rude, or have it go on Her Permanent Record.

Sneaky little what?

Yep, trying to end the drama you have created :)
Good day to you, if you want it. I doubt it, though. Your attitude is sadly negative and investigative. Best wishes to you and how you spend all your free time ;)

Is there a problem with asking questions? That's what this site is for, if you haven't noticed ;)

Then go pay a lawyer, little girl.

An order is not ever permanent. Not if there is a change in circumstance. Like.... a bat guano crazy momma placing the children in harm's way.

Oh sweety, if you put your children first you wouldn't be here.

Now. Fix your quote technique (it seems to be broken), start putting your children first then go forth and sin no more.

Eh Pro, I am not a fan of this mother, because she did not follow through and send dad to jail, the way that she should have. (felony DV, violated restraining orders, apparently she helped him beat the charges so that he could become a military officer and be gone out of state, out of stupidity and fear) but I think that she is actually TRYING to put her children first (he put a pillow over one infant's face to muffle crying) by giving him what he wanted so he would be gone.

I think that she is weak and stupid, but trying to do the right thing for her children.

I have noticed. I also have noticed that you refuse to do as you are asked and keep all your questions together as they each have relevant information contained to present a full picture. When told (several times) you throw a fit and decide to be rude. Oh well. You need to grow up.
