1) I am considered an exempt employee but I work at a Casino so fall under federal law. I came down with the flu so left 2 hours early from work. They are now wanting to dock me for the 2 hours. Is this legal? Also, the job was originally presented to me (verbally) that I would not be docked for taking care of personal issues that might come up during a day. I've searched Google but came up with conflicting answers...
2) Also, while I am sick with the flu they are requiring me to answer my phone and work from home even though they refuse to pay me. Can they legally do this as well?
