My lawsuit against my previous employer just got filed with the court, and my lawyer will officially serve the company next week.

I would like my friend to give a copy to the doctor I worked with. He completely turned on me a week before I was fired after I discovered fraud. He works at a different site than the company location where the suit will be officially served. There's no doubt that he will get nervous beyond belief because his name is mentioned over 20 times in the suit, and he is a very nervous type of person.

Could I get sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress just for having my friend deliver a copy of the suit to him after it's been properly served to the company?

Anyone can sue for any reason at all, even if a suit has no merit.

What is your intention by providing a copy to the doctor?

There could be a clue in Law925’s other thread. Here is a link to the other thread, followed by a quote from one of Law925’s posts:

Law925: “… IF my employment lawsuit goes nowhere by some weird chance, IF my mother passes away, and IF nothing transpires from a med mal suit, I will have no choice but to seek unbelievable personal Justice against that surgeon and make national headlines … I wouldn’t mind at all spending the next half of my life in jail …”

Law925 apparently is not fond of this doctor.

That's an extremely obvious statement, but it does nothing to support the hypothetical described above.

If I send my friend out to give a copy of the lawsuit to the disgraced doctor, he would have no clue who my friend is. He will just say "Special delivery for Dr. ....!" and give it to him. I didn't deliver it myself, so there would be no grounds for any lawsuit in this case.

If you think you know the answer to your question, why did you come here to ask it?

I am not stalking as much as keeping an eye on what you post so objectionable content can be removed.

Really interesting how my other thread on medical malpractice was closed. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Anyway, just to respond to your last reply so that I have the last word here, you stated: "I personally think it smarter to ask your own attorney about the wisdom of your plan rather than asking “lay people” on an internet forum."

So then why on earth does this website even exist?

This forum exists to assist people with their legal issues when they don’t have their own attorneys.
