my question had nothing to do with grammar. so you can take your little "disclaimer" and "help" someone else.

My response:

Instead of getting all bent out of shape with the things others are saying to you, why don't you just concentrate on what I asked you so we can help you?

I asked - -

I have no idea what you're trying to say with the above statement. Instead of "accept", did you mean "except"? What is a "winney" neighbor? Did you mean "whiney"? And, what did you mean by "neighbor"? How did a "neighbor" get involved in this matter?

I'm going to be more straight forward than IAAL. It seems that poking fun at you seems to only ruffle your adolescent SprintPCS feathers.

The words except and accept are grade level 6 spelling words. The word whine is a grade level 4 vocabulary word.

As adults, some of us see a problem. You come here with a question about cell phones and pagers being taken away in school and you have a problem with paying the consequences of the action but you have displayed poor use of not only spelling, but punctuation as well.

Stop worrying about having these things in school, leave it at home, you aren't going anywhere until the bell rings anyway.

(whatever happened to passing notes in the hall)

Sprint, Verizon, Nokia, Motorola, VW, SAAB, Whatev

You spelled accept correctly, it was simply misused in place of except. You misspelled whiney.

Your asthma medicine should be at the front office at school with a written note from your doctor for proper usage and your teacher should be informed when it's needed on a timed basis or an "as needed" basis depending on your condition. Your parents should only be involved when you need a refill and the note from the doctor to take to the office or trouble breathing after the affects of the medicine should have been apparent, if both you AND your parents have failed to make sure you have medicine at school on the ready or if there is an emergency that will take you from the school to a hospital and they need consent from a parent which may or may not have been waived in your medical records that are signed at the beginning of each new school year. Due to policy details you may or may not even have an inhaler on your person at all times, who knows. You should and so should your parents.

My interpretation may be off a bit but I gather what you're saying now is instead of making sure preventative measures are in place to make sure you don't have problems your parents have given you a cell phone to call when you are already in trouble?

I will not feel sorry for your cell phone/pager or any one else's at school because you may or may not choose to follow a simple common practice in making sure you have your medicine for what can be a very serious condition.

You don't need an english teacher to post here, we are happy to help you when we can.

Now, your original post has the flavor of cell phones and/or pagers causing a disturbance and being forced to pay a fine. How did we get to you having asthma? The school has phones, if you need your medicine and don't have it but need it so badly you have to make a phone call? You go to the office or the nurse and use a phone there, if you are in need of asthma medication you will probably be in the nurses' office anyway.

**A: Now why does this post make absolute common sense? This post, I accept.

You were warned of the consequences before the cell phone was taken away. Consider it school law.

What's sad is that, not only can this kid not spell and use correct grammer, but that the adults here are behaving very childish and immature (such as HomeGuru's little attempt at a bad joke). So you took a kid making errors (probably due to not applying himself--I mean, if kids have cell phones at school, the district can probably afford decent teachers), and turned the table on yourselves to make you look just as bad, if not worse, as your jabs were intentional.

I'm frightened. The kids of today are our caretakers of tomorrow. If they are not being slammed with consequences now of not doing school work and instead rely on parents suing schools to pass them, then what the hell is going to happen when these kids are the adults themselves?

My response:

"Grammer"?

Looks like you could use a spelling refresher course, yourself.

As I said in another post, I have been up more than 24 hours. By now, it's even longer.

This time my cousins aren't the ones pissed off at you. I am too. Quit bullying people. Just because you are a lawyer doesn't give you the authority to be cruel. No wonder you spend so much time here-you probably have no clients with that attitude of yours.

Grow up, juice-boy. I have no doubt you had to sign some sort of student handbook at the start of HS. That included the consequences of having a cell at school and using it. You violated the rules, and had to pay for it. Quit whining. And learn how to spell. If my 5th grader came home with your grammar & spelling, there would be hell to pay. In your case, my sig DOES apply.
