Hi, my wife contributed $4,000 to a child care FSA, all in all, we paid about $9,000 in child care costs last year! When I do all the calculations, the Child Care credit is $160.00. This seems like a low amount. I know the FSA is a pre-tax item, but it seems like Uncle Sam is recouping ab bit too much! I know if I manually remove the $4,000 from box 10 of the W2, the credit jumps to $1,500. What is going on here!?
