my husbands ex is threatening to sue him over money in a joint account that she deposited and used to pay some of his debts. she says we owe her more than 4000.00 they were together three years and have two kids. the last monies paid were in march of 2003. can she sue him? they both deposited the money and both paid bills from their joint account. what is the statute of limitations? will this go to trial. we already pay her 216.00 a week for child support we cant afford to have his wages garnished for this. if this would go to trial and we would lose can we pick the amount that we pay her?
