What is the name of your state? Massachusetts
Have an employee who has a family medical plan that includes him, spouse and multiple dependent children. One of the dependents was a student in college over the age of 18. The dependent is no longer eligible under the plan because he is no longer a student.
I need to send a cobra letter explaining the benefits and I am struggling in doing so. Who does the letter get addressed to? Do they pay an individual rate or a family rate if they elect the cobra? Is it an entirely new plan or do they hop back on the employee's plan as a dependent?
Do you think you could help with this question? At this point it is a time sensitive issue. If you have any literature and/or examples that explain the procedure that would be wonderful!!
Thanks for your help!
