There seems to be no respect for the federal laws in the states or municipalities. Like Obama said all they do locally in government is a source for revenue. They don't care about your rights. People on drugs and illegals drive and get away without a license. Pitiful IL

A new Supreme Court case is in agreement that states and cities must abide by the Constitution including the Excessive Fines clause of the 8th Amendment :)

FreeAdvice is not a discussion forum. We assist posters with their personal legal issues.

Your post not only has nothing to do with debt collection, it is not a personal legal issue with a question we can answer. We cannot help you.

Perhaps you can find someplace else on the internet that would welcome a discussion about pitiful Illinois.

City-Data has thousands of those kinds of discussions.

It's the Kingdom of Trolls for those who just want to argue and they don't even have to pay for the argument. (Another Monty Python reference.)

Oh. There are hundreds of places on the internet where discussions such as the one llsucks seems to want to have can be found.

Why llsucks chose a legal advice forum is a bit of a mystery - but one I really have no interest in solving. :)

And it was his first and only post. But for the record pushing that part of the 8th Amendment down to state and local governments is an interesting topic.

Not all that interesting. But if you want to join in his discussion, you might search for him on Reddit or City-Data. ;)
