What is the name of your state? GA, CA

A friend won a contempt lawsuit in GA. According to the judge's order, the loser (ex-husband) owes back payments, future payments and legal fees.

Is this judgement equivelent to a money judgement? Can it be used to do collection actions in CA?

I was advised on another forum to contact a lawyer/collector in CA, and we are looking into that. Just trying to learn a little more about the paperwork to get this thing going in CA.

Thanks.

"Is this judgement equivelent to a money judgement?"
*** Depends on the EXACT wording of the 'order', but more than likely, yes.

"Can it be used to do collection actions in CA?"
*** Yes, or any other state.
