"...I suppose we could use some improvement ... and a big paddle, a chair, and something to pull the pants down exposing the hind ends of some of these little twits would be a great start!..."

Carl, you old big bad man: that would harm their self-esteem!

I'll tell the truth since you guys are only able to help americans in this forum I had to chose a state, I am really in Quebec, Canada, I will not go to juvi sorry for those who expect that, and as for staying there a few nights, no because they noticed I wasn't such a bad guy after all..

And you're certainly showing your maturity by driving two years before you're legally permitted to.

I have friends who didn't drive till they were 18 or older and it didn't screw their lives up any. What you don't seem to understand is that driving is a privilege, not a right.

You don't believe it now, but your life will not come to an end if you don't get to drive through your high school years.
Yeah I didn't get my drivers liecense until I started college. It didn't effect me at all. I was glad I waited, I became a more cofident driver that way.

And as a saying goes 'If you can't do the time, don't do the crime'

I'm sure it has nothing at all to do with the notoriously easy criminal justice system they have up north ... nothing at all.

I'm a Northern Girl
So you're a liar as well as a thief, huh?

Not to mention stupid. Never even occurred to you that the laws might be different, did it? What good does it do you to lie about your location if the answers you get are for a different country?

Doesn't change my opinion one bit. I'm Canadian by birth and I'd STILL ground you for as long as you were living under my roof, and you STILL wouldn't get your license for the same time period. Trust me, it isn't going to ruin your life one little whit if you don't get to experience buying a car till you're in your twenties. You clearly still don't get how serious this is. You still really think this was a harmless prank and everyone should shrug it off and forget it because you're such a nice guy. Well, if your parents have three brain cells between them, they'll find some way of bringing it home to you that this WAS serious and that actions like yours have consequences.

Yeah, theri right this is serious. What if you had gotten into a acident? What if you hit someone with the car? Not only did you put yourself into danger, but others as well.
Your lucky, this whole situation could have been a lot worse.

I can tell you that my 16 yr. old son got him self in a little trouble as well. The attorney we hired charged us a flat $2000. This covered everything. He said it didn't matter if it got settled, went to court, it covered everything. So at least this gives you an idea.
