What is the name of your state?Mo I have a 16 year old daugter who will be 17 in about 5 months I got custody of her a few years ago when the state took her from her mother and had me come and get her and take full custody her and her brother moved in with me and my new wife things were ok for a while then she starting takeing off skiping school now she has took up with a 19 year old boy friend and is pregnant and is staying with him and his mother we went to get her and did bring her back but she ran right back to him and as well sneaked her things out what she could I have called juvie on her but they said they couldnt do nothing becouse she hasnt commited a crime as well her boy friend claims he is going to marry her when she is 17 he has no job etc she is defient wont mind and will not follow rules or listen to reason the police was at there house she told them they were going to get married all the cop said to him well i guess you better marry her befor things happen his mommy condones this we dont but her mind is set on this guy ive been told since she is pregant and is with them she has amansapated her self and there is nothing we can do is this true or am I still ressponsible and if so how much she is on our medical insurance but she claims she has been seeing a doctor but a few days ago I found out this was a lie so do we haft to pay for her boy friends mistake or does him and mommy while they play house and be stupid she claims she is going to get medicaid so do me and my wife take her off our insurance? what do we do or need to do so far our actions havent got far has ressponsibility ended with us or not we need to know to be frank im getting a little tired of what she has done and ready to wash my hands of it the ol saying you make your bed sleep in it comes to mind I dont know what else to do need advise.

She is not real bright but do not drop her from your health insurance. This is your grandchild you are talking about.

Try getting her some counsling or something. Take her a place that can help talk about the situation she is in, being a teenage mother and so on. I have some idea what your going through, but for my family, things didn't end so well. Talk to her, sit her down in a room and lock the door if you have to. You need to get her to listen and understand. Tell her your feelings.
