NYS Statute of Limitations

From what I was told and understand, there is a 20 year statute of limitations on a judgement.....I don't know if that is the same on a default, but I would certainly try and find that out. Good luck.

can someone please tell me if the sol on a default judgement is 20 years in ny,also does it have to be renewed after 10 years to persue legal action?

The TOTAL for FL is 20 years, but it must be renewed at 10 years. I'll have to hunt up the statute again.

NY is 20 years, also with a 10 year renewal clause.

Challenge the bank levy, ASAP. Call the court clerk and see if they have a form to use to appeal the levy.

I'll see what I can find on the statute.

If you will PM me with your email address, I have some information I can send you on FL judgments that may be helpful. I can also give you contact info for 2 consumer lawyers in FL that can help clarify.
