The poster says that he did not elect COBRA because he thought he had insurance coverage, not that COBRA was not offered to him. If COBRA had not been offered, I'd agree with CIAA that the 60 days hadn't started yet, but it seems pretty clear that COBRA simply is not an option. If we can get off the COBRA kick maybe we can think of some alternatives, but as long as everyone keeps trying to think of ways to get him back on COBRA, which is NOT AN OPTION, we're never going to get anywhere.

Poster, have you contacted the Chamber of Commerce or the State Insurance Commission to see if they have any suggestions as to plans you could join?
