**A: but that does not work in all instances. For instance I request all occupants and/or lease guarantors to fill out the exact same application and we do complete a background and credit check on all.
My background checks don't cost nothin' since I already know all the crooks!

Fat dude here, all i'm saying is that if you are applying in a large complex or to a property management company, dont put the convict boyfriend on the app, once you move in, as long as you are paying the rent and not getting any complaints, nobodys going to come around checking to see whos living there. In my younger days, I used to have different people rent me apartments, because my credit was shot. As long as the rent was paid, no one said anything. I even dropped off the rent at the office a few times, called maintenance when needed, everything. No problems whatsoever. You have to remember in these larger complexes, you have some 7 dollar an hour bimbo working the counter that could really care less about who lives there once the place is rented. Even in my properties (SFD & Duplexes), I run background and reference checks on the tenants (I do all sec 8, so credit checks are pointless), but if I know a boyfriend, relative, friend, whatever moves in, which happens 75% of the time, as long as I dont get any problems, I let them be. We're in this business to make money, not alienate people. When the rent stops coming in, then we have problems. And Im not circumcising the law here, just asking very realistic common sense questions.
