An interesting law.

I thought at first that this was a great way to eliminate meritless malpractice lawsuits until I got to the very end and found that the provisions of the law do not apply to plaintiffs who do not have an attorney.

Yep, but it is the reason why you'll never see a lawyer touch it. Those pre-lit consults are not cheap.

And for an interesting twist, what is the result when the pro se med mal plaintiff is, himself, a lawyer?

The debate over the cost of a malpractice action is why I entered this thread in the first place. When you require expert testimony to make a case, you KNOW it is not going to be cheap. :)
