Loving Father;
I hope all is going well with your motions and affidavits;
Your qoute from your decree states: "It is in the children's best interest to insure that each has a strong, close, positive and fully developed relationship with each parent. Neither party shall do any act that will estrange the minor children from the other parent or perform any act that will hamper the natural development of love and affectionthat the minor children have for each parent."
By what you have said in your posts, your ex is doing everything possible to estrange you from the children. Make sure you mention this in your affidavits.
The order also clearly states mediation must be done if you cannot reach an agreement about something. You can motion for fines/sanctions against her and her attorney for not attempting mediation prior to filing a motion with the court.
Let me know how things are going.

Good luck. I wish my kid had a dad like you. I went through proceedings in Hennepin County, and though it cost me a small fortune-the judge looked to the best interest of the child. This is all so sad. Too often the one (or both) of the grown ups forget about the kids. Minnesota is a family friendly state, so have faith.

Desperate Dad Seeking Direction !!

Minnesota..

Thanks for those kind words mom6399. I am trying to have faith. It is very difficult when you feel like there is nothing you can do. I know it's not her fault I had to move out of state but I really had no choice. The hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life wasn't re-learning how to walk again, or turning down lucrative job offers because "she" didn't want to be away from her family. It wasn't anything that arguably is petty to most. The hardest thing was putting my children in the rearview mirror knowing that I might not see them for a while. I cried every one of the 1700 miles and and wanted to turn around at every off-ramp. I just fell like it doesn't matter what or how much the ths scales might be tipped to my side. In reality, divorce most often than not turns dad into a scheduled activity. I appreciate your kind words and positive outlook. I hope it works out. Have a wonderful day.

Regards,
Loving Father :confused:
